September 29th, 2010 - Three Games

We’re going ahead with 3 different games. The Cube Game, The Bubble Game and The Light Game.

Each of them incorporates 3D in a different way.

We’ll have some artwork up here soon so check back again when you can!

September 22nd, 2010 - Quarter Presentations

Not nervous at all! ;-)

We’ve got our presentation all ready to go. We’re speaking today at Electronic Arts in front of a sea of people interested in hearing all about our group and the 2 other groups here in SV.

We’ve got our games narrowed down to 4!

We’re busy prototyping The Cube Game and The Bubble Game. Next week we prototype The Light Game and The Tunnel Game.

We’ll see how testing goes and decide our future from there.

Sept 15&16th - 3D Summit

Mark was in Los Angeles at the 3D Entertainment Summit.

There were two days of panels and new technology to try out.

There were other auto-stereo screens being shown off. Similar to Nintendo’s new 3DS.

There were reps from Ubisoft, Crytek, Nintendo, Double Helix and Nvidia all speaking on the future of 3D in gaming. Very optimistic about the future.

Many people at the conference believe it will be 3D gaming that brings 3DTVs to the homes in big numbers.

M. Night Shamalayan gave a talk about 3D as an afterthought one of his films.

Jeffrey Katzenberg spoke passionately about the attention that needs to be given to doing 3D properly.

Sept 10th, 2010 - Five Games

We’ve been wracking our brains, planning out some interesting game ideas.

We’ve been looking at the examples Johnny Wang left us and researching what games work well with 3D.

We’re trying to make the best use of the added depth. We’re thinking, cubes, lights, bubbles, planets and bunch of other things.

We'd love to do them all but we'll have to take into consideration schedule and work load of each.

Stay tuned!

August 31st, 2010 - Client Visit

Client Super D VP Johnny Wang Visits Silicon Valley Campus

Our client Johnny Wang came to visit today. He left for us one of his remarkable 3D Laptops with auto-stereo display. That’s right folks… 3D without using glasses.

We’ve got a bunch of content to inspect in order to get to know the technology. There are some examples of 3D games which we’ll be looking at, learning what works and what doesn’t.

Our assignment is to put together 3-4 games that show off the use of 3D. – The added dimension.

Here we go!
